You're right, it will be depreciated before I get it! If nothing else it has brought me to this forum, after reading many posts in all the categories it is a very open minded group! Many times in forums like this people can be very intolerant of other points of view, not here, all are very willing too help.

Did you ever register online @ BMW Owners Circle? https://oc.bmwusa.com/ You can enter your VIN and the site will track where in the process your car is in. It's certainly not an accurate system, but it might serve as a "double check" of what BMWNA and your dealer have already told you.

Rick thanks again for that idea about the tracking. this morning my car was still showing "scheduled "for production", then about an horn ago it suddenly moved to at preparation center, 10 minutes later my dealer called and said it was being picked up tomorrow. So it looks like early next week it will finally be here. Pictures will be posted as soon as it arrives!

I've heard a lot of people who complain that the online tracking is a few days delayed, etc. etc. and that it's not accurate (one member said his car showed "in prep center" even though he just picked it up). But BMW is one of very few companies that have online tracking for their owners... I wish more companies would do this (read: M-B) since this will decrease the number of calls to the dealership.
