Imola Z4MR on PH

Eisenmann (exhausts) and AFE (intakes) are both well known brands.

Would like to have seen the full service history rather than the summary.

No sat nav is not really an issue if you only ever used it for the sat-nav. Screen comes into its own when you need to view multiple OBC details, or want to access telephone book, or fiddle with the DSP settings. Not sure how you fiddle with those settings without the screen though - considering the advert says it's got the pro hi-fi.

Top price for a 60k miler though - and I'd be wanting the wheels refurbed at that price.

This was Booner's car. I remember him fitting the Eisenmann and AFE and posting videos.

It is a steamy price for a 60k miler. You wouldn't get that for a Coupe with that mileage and they generally fetch about £1k more than the equivalent Roadster.

Another Imola Z4MR in Nottinghamshire......!!

Imola and extended leather

However, no wind deflector or satnav, and at least £1.5-2k over priced...

Forgetting the spec/mileage - the guy is is in cloud cuckoo land with non negotiable price, mods don't get you money added. Why oh why do people try and sell cars for what is considered top money in less than perfect condition. By his own admission wheels need a refurb and the front bumper is damaged. Why not get these fixed and have a great condition car to sell?

Well some people slate the satnav but with a 2013 disc in I find it very useful and personally hate things stuck on my windscreen or balanced somewhere inside the car (ie tomtom or iphone).

Ok so it's not the most modern in terms of graphics but it still knows how to calculate a route properly and very rarely suggests anything just plain stupid.

The latest built in navs have better visuals, but essentially do the same job.

Two other reasons I like the built in unit are the TMC traffic and also the built in gyro and wheel speed sensor, meaning the nav doesn't get lost when you go underground or in tunnels.

+1 on satnav - also surprisingly fast to re-route and brilliant with my Intravee.

There's another imola MR on AT for much less money than that, slightly fewer miles and better spec'd, albeit completely stock. It has been on for a while though, so I suspect there are some issues with that one as well, but at least it is reasonably priced.

Fan of the Nav here as well, not as bad as others make out. Wouldn't have considered buying a car without it and not having it Vs the leather is incorrect - I have both in my M.

We know, you rubbed it in the other day

I think the leather hoops would make retrofitting the wind deflector even harder than normal, so probably an expensive dealer job. Wind deflector is an absolute must for me - some slate it as well, but it makes a huge difference on a crisp winter morning

Don't want get into another sat-nav discussion, but here are a few reasons I still use my TomTom (stuck to the Piano Black dash, so out of my direct eye-line) over the built-in nav:
  • I can locally modify my maps to take account of closed roads, suspended junctions, new junctions, etc.
  • I can get weekly updated speed cameras (PocketGPSWorld, not TomTom) - which are not available on genuine BMW discs
  • I get live traffic reports from lots of sources (even other TomTom HD Traffic users) rather than the sporadic TMC ones
  • I'm not limited to Classic FM when I want to use the TMC
  • I have a custom cursor of my own car
  • I can add my own POIs - or update existing ones
  • Map updates are about 1/4 of the price and more regular (doesn't mean they're any more up-to-date though)
  • The TomTom has never tried to reverse my route, or take me up a motorway slip-road, on a 20 mile diversion, and then put me back on the same slip-road to rejoin the motorway with the traffic jam on it
  • I can take the TomTom with me into different vehicles

If it's a slightly older one like my 720 go, you forgot to mention itineraries which are fab, especially when you pair with the free tyretotravel program giving the ability to upload Google routes & modify waypoints onto yr TOMTOM

You say well known brands - do many users on the forum have modifications from them fitted? Are they good modifications?

Yeah I have noted this one being for sale for a while too. It was previously sold at auction and has only done 500 miles in the last 18 months which makes me slightly concerned!

Probably as many have these as have Gruppe-M intakes, ESS superchargers, Rogue Engineering bits. The brands are known on here, but they're not cheap mods so it's not like there are hundreds of owners with them.

The auction summary detailed quite a few marks on the bodywork of that one. Not sure it is in the condition that is indicated by the pics... The thread is here :

Ignore the fact everyone keep trying to find my car for me  :P

Unfortunately not!

I replaced my 730 with a 1005 2 years ago and didn't realise the itineraries had been removed until it was too late - and won't be updating to a new one until they return that functionality :headbang:

Hi all,

the car in question is mine.

Yes, it belonged to Booner before me. I realise it's at the top of the price range, the "no offers" bit is due to the fact I'm in no rush to sell and still not sure if I will. If that changes the price will reflect that.

Having said that I'd happily knock off wheel refub costs, I've not had them done myself as it really is very minor and the front bumper scrape is not visible - it's right underneath.

Thanks for the interest, happy to answer any questions....

Jaimie

If you aren't sure you want to sell it and want to just see if its worth more to someone else than it is to you that's fair enough, but it's not at the top of the price scale it's significantly over even at £2k less it would be top money for a 60k miler roadster. Liam
