Imola Red Z4MR now sold

Have you tried autotrader/ eBay and pistonheads?

I would have thought this is one of the cheapest out there with good spec, good colour and sensible miles.

It should fly out..

It's a real shame if you have to part with this, it was looking and sounding stunning at the National. I hope the job situation sorts itself out eventually and we get to see you back in a zed, but if not you'll have to join the rest of us at the back :D

The car has been on ebay for a few weeks now and it's also on piston heads. Other than a couple of traders offering trade money I've had no interest, not even the usual time wasters. To be honest I'm a little baffled.

Thanks for the kind words. I don't absolutely have to sell it but it makes much more sense if I do as it means I get to enjoy other things too. I'll still be hanging round, even if it's at the back

i tried to get my mate interested but for reasons only known to himself red is not his preferred colour

Don't do it. You'll only regret it. It looked superb at the National and sounds awesome in the vids you've posted.

The advert reads really well on ebay , the int pics are ok , for some reason the ext don't do the car justice & don't grab attention :( as above i would certainly try some different pics & especially try for a "buy me" shot for the page heading
Also if you are happy with £13k then lower the ask to £13250 . you could as suggested go up in price but it may take 6/8/10 weeks to sell & as the summer shortens the value & demand will fall with it
My M roady is on more miles alhough a year newer but a recent online car buying site was around £12500 so i don't for a minute think you are asking too much .
Just gotta sit tight and play with the advert

Pictures where it looks more red than pink would help. But I don't think the pics would put me off.

Maybe the colour combination is an issue, not sure if I like it or not, but I'm not a fan of light interiors.

Thanks for the comments with regard to the photos. I've been out today and taken some new ones and I would welcome some feedback on which ones to use, if any. They should be numbered.

Cheers Laine.

I would go with 38/40 as your page heading pic & add 41 42 as next pics along with a couple of the prev interior pics & one of a very well presented under bonnet
If you can i would also try taking similar pics later in the evening for comparison

Hi Laine,

Been looking at your photos - for some reason photos don't seem to capture the real life look of your Red Zed - the images end up too light or pinkish. I tried experimenting with the edit function and I think you'll find messing with the edit function particularly with colour and exposure will improve things.

This was my favourite for showing off your ///M - there's something about this angle

I think you're correct about the brightness. I'm going to follow Mr Wilks advice and try taking some photos later in the day or at least when it's not as bright outside.

For me, that's the perfect combo

is Imola a marmite colour?

personally i think its great, many old red cars turn funny colours (dull pink), could this happen on these cars, do people worry about this?

Older cars suffered pigment drop..

Modern paint is laquer over base so doesn't pink out..

Imola is one of my favourite BMW colours... Looks so good when the paint is prepped and polished.
