Imola or Spa?

Morning all

A simple question. For those who have been, which would you recommend for spectator viewing?

I have been leaning towards Spa for the speed, driving distance convenience and proximity to the Nurburgring. However, I have been told that Imola is the better experience.

Spa is good as you can roam around the track via numerous tracks and paths, and there are numerous vantage points with great views from banks, hillsides etc. Imola I cant vouch for as haven't been, but spa's great.

Only been to Spa of those two, so would recommend Spa - although I think there's more 'gradient' at Spa than Imola (looking at the TV pictures) so take that into account if you want an easy walk.

Only been to spa also out of the two ... But plan on going this year. Just take some water proofs, micro climate there! As above though , good view points without grandstand seats.

Only driven at Spa and can say its an awesome drivers track. Viewing is great on a track day but Spa gets very busy on f1 weekends and the facilities around the track are naff if you go in with only a general entry - may be worth getting a grandstand ticket.

I went to watch F1 at Spa in 2005-2006, its Amazing!!
Cheap, brilliant views, loads of access and a amazing festival type atmosphere (loads going on day and night)

We Paid £400 which included coach there n back, hostel, Paddock access of Fri/Sat/Sunday plus a program.

For that price you'll just about get a seat at Silverstone and a programme lol

Spa is the one to do first. Just simpler to sort and a fantastic track. Much more relaxed friendly atmospher than Nurburgring IMO. Though I soooo want to do Imola.

Am I missing something here? Are you meaning to go and watch F1? Because there is no San Marino GP in 2013 and hasn't been for a while. Do you mean Monza?

Monza has the added advantage over Spa of being able to be combined with a weekend in Milan, plus you get to experience the tifosi first hand!

Bugger. Yes, Monza is exactly what I meant. Closeish .

It will be a 2014 option now. My other half likes F1 but 3 in a year would be pushing it
