iMac photo problem.

Yep. Just been looking at this again, no answers I'm afraid. Suggest you uninstall Photos for now and stick with iPhoto.

OK, here's something more positive:

Ron, which version of Outlook for Mac do you have? Check by clicking Outlook / About Outlook, might be 2011.xx or 2015.xx - 2015 is the very latest one. You need a valid Office365 subscription to get this version.

I've just upgraded as a test to the latest version of Outlook (2015.9) and the Pictures browser on the "New eMail" ribbon in Outlook 2015.9 now supports Photos. Yay. It shows the albums / moments / collections / events etc that you have in the Photos library and you can browse through your photos in Photos, select and drag one or several images into your Outlook email.

You still cannot right-click in Photos and email a picture using Outlook though. So partial success only.

I think the temp work round will be keep iPhoto in the dock and drag photos into outlook as needed?

Yep sure. Only thing to remember is that any iPhoto adds or changes you do won't be reflected in Photos so you might have to resync later.

I'm disappointed with Apple - they seem to be making a habit of it these days . I'm not really inclined to buy new software to adapt to an supposed upgrade.

I think with a bit of patience tho, things might be corrected - I live in hope

I think I have the solution!

Drag the photo to the desktop and then attach to Outlook from the Desktop location in finder!

It's the only simple way to do it !

I always think it's strange that there is such a simple workaround yet it's been missed from the official system.
