hey i'm a real newbie deing to get a exhaust system but never ever got any replies so .........
alright , i own Z SI and i'm trying to customize exhaust with
either HKS, or MAGflow
but before that i have questions
1 what are the difference between straight pipe , x, and y pipe
any performance ,or sound difference?
2. on mufflers place where inlet and outlets are different
for example one has center/offset , center/center, offset/offset
dual/dual , center/dual , any performance or sound difference?
3. 5inx 10in , 4inx 9in , 5inx 9in what are these number reffering to?
and any difference sound or performancewise?
4. I need translation on this haha
[3" pipe from the cats--->back to a Magnaflow muffler. I put a custom 4" tip on it because I didn't like the one that came on it.]
and this guy also said he removed y resonator , and rear silencer ( is this called rear resonator ? same thing?)
what im trying to do is get magnaflow muffler 3', put 3' straight pipe from the cat. so if i set it up like this i won't have the rear silencer right? but i will have y resonator ? am i going to the right road?
5. I'm also trying to get hi flow magniflow cat. if i install this on top of my setup(magniflow3' ,straightpipe3') what exactly am i going to hear from it
i mean what kind of sound changes can i expect from installing hi flow cat?
6.So if i do 3' magniflow mufflers + 3' straight pipe(with which ever resonator that goes in that place where pipes will be[rear reso??], delete) with high flow cat,
do you guys think i will lose my torque or power in someway?
and how loud do you think it will be rate it 0~10 thanks
7. finally last thing, if i put aftermarket freeflow resonator am i going to lose alot of sound? and do i lose power by adding reso? or removing it?
please give me ALOT of feed backs
or even share me the exhaust system you possibly own , idc if it's a plastic coke bottle stuck in your pipe ,
