sub 16k for a Z4MR with less than 40k on the clock.............. far too dangerous

Went to see it today, didn't actually see this thread till I got back.

You guys are welcome to it.

Made my own thread about it on the M forum.

Car looked like it had been washed that morning with a dirty sponge and then polished on top. Dirt/water marks/excess polish on all the panels. I can get over this though, but not a wonderful first impression.

New rear tyres, but fronts need changing soon ( very little life left in them on the sidewalls), looks like it's been 'used' well in the twisties or on track as loads of middle tread and hardly anything on the edges. Needs new front pads and disks, both near side wheels need refurbing. Some small scratches on the bonnet and around the car that would machine out and then several smaller marks about 3/4" long on the passenger door that were through the paint, so wouldn't. Wife reckoned there was paint missing around one of the kidney grills, but I missed that. Also needs a service.

I didn't even test drive it. Wasn't wasting the £20 adding myself to insure it. The whole car felt a bit abused and unloved. I'm a bit of a perfectionist, so this wasn't for me. I'll keep looking.

Was pissed off to be honest, five hour round trip to see a car in 'great' condition. Had the cash in my pocket for a deposit. :headbang:

There's always a catch when something looks cheap. A service, discs n pads,2 tyres and some smart repairs soon slurps up a couple of grand. Now looks quite expensive. :o

+1. If it looks too god to be true, it usually is. Would rather pay the extra for an AUC, there are some now up for less than £18k.
