Hi everyone.
Just registered today.
I have a 2006 Platinum Silver M Coupe with 33,800 miles. Have owned it for 5 years. Bought it from Enthusiast Auto Group in Cincinnati and had it shipped out here to a suburb north of Seattle. Made several modifications the most noteworthy is the 4:10 deferential from Diffsonline. Obviously I don't drive the car much as my daily driver has been a 2008 SLK 55 AMG for the past 9 years.

I just retired 2 weeks ago. We are planning to move out of the Seattle area but stay in the Pacific Northwest to escape the madness of so many people. Next year.

I would like to ask you all for input on which car to keep. AMG? M Coupe?

Go ahead. Let me have it. I can take it.

Welcome on board. But how naughty of you for not adding any pictures, we like pictures you know.

:worthless:

Hi and welcome to the forum.

Only you know which car to keep because it depends what you use the car for, how much you use it, whether you prefer manual or auto, etc.

I've only had my MC 6 months and love it. I've also stopped working, only use it for fun drives and do about 4,000 miles a year (well perhaps less now due to CV-19) so in that context I just love how raw it feels and I've never been a fan of automatic gearboxes so you know what I'd choose!

Did anyone mention photos yet?

You may have gathered we like photos of Z4s, but wouldn't mind seeing your SLK as well.

Welcome, keep the one with a proper manual gear box and enjoy the drive. :driving:

Take some pictures of it too. Did anyone else mention those yet. :D

Welcome. I too have a couple of just for fun cars. I know which one I prefer if I have time for just one short fun drive... That's the keeper.
Welcome and enjoy the drive !

Everyone,

Never mind. I made my choice. The Z4 Coupe. The AMG was a fantastic commuter car in this insane Seattle traffic given its 7 speed automatic and retractable hardtop. But. I'm done. No more commuting. Period. The Z4 is a much more engaging car. It may not have the HP and TQ of an AMG V8, but I'm headed to the Cascades and Olympic Mountain road where the AMG is a yawner.
Its raining here today (what a surprise) so Ill wait for a clear day for pictures.

Hope I didn't offend anyone here with the question.

More to come. Thanks.

I think the pictures will be boring to everyone. But I will take them.

Its a stock (on the outside) 2006 Z4 M Coupe in Platinum Silver. with stock wheels. All the mods you cant see. the only thing you can see is the Strömung cat backs.
Should be good weather next week.
