So this weekend I decided after finding a can of plastic primer and black gloss paint in the shed that I quite fancied painting my spare set of graphite kidney grilles I had lying around.. I quite like the stealth look..

So that leaves a set of spare M grilles and a freshly washed mini on the drive... Im such a kid.

That will be my first mod again on my second M at the dealers before I even drive off, swapping from my existing car.

Definitely a different look....our D3BT has black kidneys and alloys, but the Roadster is staying stock. May one day return the BT to stock, too :?

Black sapphire. Looked at a nice Ruby Black one but running in service wasnt done until 2500 miles :(

Be interesting to see how your paint holds up, i ended up wrapping mine in the end

Nice choice.. Best colour although Im slightly biased :D Can't beleive how some people let the running in service go more than a thousand miles over. They dont deserve such cars IMO.

I painted the grilles on my old 1 series and they seemed to last quite well. Wrapping them. Bet that was a nightmare.

Looking forward to seeing pics of the M anyway

Er, that was taken in Feb this year whilst most of the country was still under the white stuff  Checkout the long shadows......at around 2:30 in the afternoon. A bit of road muck on that day was somehow inevitable, and they're clean, now :P
