I'm in the Doghouse again ( quite rightly so ! )

Imagine the scenario - my wife is getting ready to go out to have coffee with one of her friends to celebrate said friend's birthday . I'm hoovering as good husbands do to help out - find a lidl's bag leaning against the front door - the fact that it's a lidl's bag is pertinent - we keep a lidl's bag in the kitchen down by the fridge to put recyclables in prior to putting out when full in to the wheelie bin - the bag is filled with what looks like the usual cardboard etc - I dutifully take it round to the bin and stamp it down - ( at this point you can guess the outcome  ) I go back in the house to find my wife ready to go but looking around for her friend's birthday present which she had put in a bag and left by the door :( :( :( :( You know that moment when you know you're in deep doodoo

I admitted what I had done and retrieved said bag complete with present and screwed up card - she had bought this fancy wire candleholder thingee from Amazon that she knew her friend would love ( if it was straight ! ) I had to unbend it and touch in the bare wire showing with white paint - actually not a bad job if I say so myself :D

I have some serious grovelling to do tonight ( and for the next few days ) to make amends !

Oh no! As soon as I got to the bag against the door I didn't even need to read the rest. As much as it's slightly funny, ok a it's very funny I do feel for you. I'm sure your wife will eventually see the funny side of it. Nice dinner from you tonight me thinks.

That really did make me laugh, well explained gov.....I must admit that I would be hard put to be cross with you for this, one you didn't do it on purpose and two, you were doing chores and trying to be helpful and would I rather be doing it in the future.....er no :D

Us dutiful husbands are the worst!! My wife left a parcel to be collected out side by the front door this morning. She got up early to go to work. When I got up....... I picked up the parcel and placed it on the dinning room table. As I do with all new clothing based deliveries... Well you can see where this is going. I went out and got a text telling me how stupidity later on  I was only trying to help!!!

I think it's your wife's fault 100% for leaving the bag in such a stupid place. I would let her know in no uncertain terms how careless she has been.

That should put an end to the matter.
