I'm havin a nightmare....

So to start this week I kurbed 2 of my 19's thanks to some cock jockey forcing me off the road and to top it off I've ground my M bumper on a shitty road this morning cracking the paint on the fang. So it's going to be an expensive time getting the wheels and bumper put back to perfection but I will get it done as I wouldn't be happy just leaving it. OCD...

But this is the second time I've damaged the bumper and ive caught the deck numerous time, with fang protectors, but it's because the car is low on Eibachs.

So I'm thinking of removing them and getting some M Sport springs.

Does anyone know the part numbers for M Sport springs and does anyone have them fitted with 19's? If so can I see a pic of how it looks :)

Mark

Can't help on the part number or pics, but I do have a set of m sport springs you can have for the cost of postage and a small donation to the forum. Have covered about 40k miles.

Hi Mark,

Sorry to hear of your issues. That would pee me off too. Looking on the bright side, you have a gorgeous E86!

I had a spring replaced before I bought my E86 sport, listed as B33.53.6.761.925 description 081955/Barrl sprin (spelt like that, not a result of the sun afternoon cider).

Both springs were later replaced under goodwill. Listed as 3399000 on the invoice which seems a bit different.

Hope one of these numbers helps. My money is on the number starting B33...

I still have the stock 18" 108s, although they'll be coming off. I'm keen to see 19s fitted on the stock springs too. I think it's possible at or under 9j without rubbing.

All the best for getting it sorted out.

:o I know how you feel!

The standard Z is low enough to kerb the spoiler

As for wheels..... I had mine professionally refurbished at great expense [don't ask] and they have all now been kerbed :headbang:

- although they still look better than they were when I bought the car, but .............. :(

Just needing a few bits of info if someone can help me out....

-How much lower are M Sport springs over standard?

-Part No for front M Sport springs or if someone with an M Sport could give me a chassie number so I can put that into Real Oem.

Thanks

Mark

Agreed easy to catch the bumper on standard suspension let alone on lowered springs. Feel the pain Mark.

Hi Mark, ive only just noticed this post, i had the same issue, putting sport springs on will raise the ride height 10mm approx, however there is a work around to tune ride height, jack the car up and remove wheel, undo pinch bolt on upper wishbone that holds the strut, iirc its a 2:5 ratio so lowering the wishbone down the strut by 2mm will give you 10mm ride height change, the ratio is 1:2 on the rear but needs to be done with spacers

Sorry to hear of your grief Mark, I slow down and let the silly tw.ts come through cos Ive got too much to lose. :x cheers Baz
