I'm getting ready for Spring :-))

I'm with you folks, mine's also been in storage, since October 31st. Plating it back on the road April 1st.

Since it's always gone through this ritual (adding lots's of TLC), the car has maintained an almost factory new condition since 2003. :)

got mine on 8th Sept and only had time (and weather) to about 800 miles since then, still i bought it as a high days and holidays car, winter has only offered a handful of dry days hence the low miles. Me and the good woman have got some long weekends up to scotland/lakes/yorkshire on the radar already, looking forward to it!

I'm building up a list of things i want to do it in the next few weeks to get it ready.....

1) remove CDV and change fluid (i tried to get on with the CDV but its just annoying when you are used to direct controls like my exige/elises had)
2) oil/filter change
3) 4 wheel geometry (kevshore said it had never been done, and i think the geo is out....)
4) replace tyres (they are 6yr old Conti M3's!)

Think i know who is doing the work, i've got NCB autokraft about 10 mins from work who seem to get good write ups on all the M forums, although they look a pain to get to/from and not sure if they have the kit for a 4 wheel geo, will be phoning next week to find out more about them.

As for tyres, not sure what to stick on more M3 Conti's? wheels are still OEM and i have no plans to change them. I guess this question is a seperate thread thats been done to death. Also the tax is due end of March just to focus the mind on getting out there in the car.....

My god Darren, that's filthy! When are you going to give it a good clean?! :D

Looks scrumptious that, I'm waiting for the temps to come up some more before I get a full detail on mine at that place Paza went too. Mine is a daily so is in need of a little 'Spring clean' :) Bet you can't wait to get out there!

Thanks Woody, as a weekend high days and holidays car I can keep on top of it, 1/2 HR here 1/2 HR there

Been out today though, really enjoyed it! :driving:

Ps just noticed the oil on the cardboard in front of the car, it's not from the ///M it's what I put under my 911 to stop it dripping on the carpet

Funnily enough I saw a bloke who looked just like you too :)

Darren, car looks awesome. Just wondering... how do you get in and out of it with such a tight garage? :?

Thanks BSVA !

:) I get as close as possible to the left side, put my seat right back and put the drivers window down, got it down to a fine art now!!

You may have noticed the foam stuck to the garage wall, drivers side, should I accidentally rest the door against the wall, my garage is a double, but in tandem, would have loved a side by side double garage

Went to fill up on bp ultimate at the garage this afternoon ... Spring had sprung 911 cabrio and a Lotus Esprit Turbo in Norfolk Mustard Yellow already there .

Cool, I have a side by side 2 car garage. One side is my space and the other side is the wife's space. My side is dedicated to the Z, her side is dedicated to her...(junk). So her car gets to stay outside all the time. So sorry for her.

another popping its head out :-) Was really really pleased to get her out a few days in that lovely sun!!! excuse the iphone pics, their piss poor...
During winter i removed the blower and had it polished... :tumbleweed: :tumbleweed: :tumbleweed: :tumbleweed: :tumbleweed:

I blame whoever started this thread for the change in the weather. Lets have no more talk of getting cars ready for the spring or summer season til at least mid June!!!
