If they bought it with that plate you'd think they'd check the spec of car
unless they even think they're driving an M....
someone is going to be very unhappy when they find out.

Seriously, you have reported this to the police, right mmm-five ?
Only got it when I came home from London this week, so will report it tomorrow - and contact DVLA & Lambeth Parking too.

Hope gets sorted out

Crazy to think people do that stuff

Makes you wonder if they cloned the plates what else you will get fined for, surely not just for a no right turn

Not relevant in this context, but why would you not be able to turn right there ...

I thinks thats amazing and scary, good luck sorting that out

Looks like queuing traffic starts as you turn right, maybe at lights, so traffic would back up onto the first street if right turning was allowed. Maybe?

It's pretty obvious, it's due to this sign of course:

Ok, let me rephrase that ... :violent1:

Why did they make it prohibitive by using that sign :P

Perhaps they knew people would flout the regulation allowing them to raise revenue to pay for more signs such as this one:

Well, everything's gone fine so far.
  • Lambeth Parking gave me an email address to send photos of my car, showing the inconsistencies, plus a copy of the appeal form.
  • 101 police number gave me a log/crime number (despite having to explain what cloned numberplates meant and why I was reporting it)
  • DVLA let me fill in an online form - and might give me a new registration number.
Let's see how long it takes to clear everything up :tumbleweed:

One of my work mates had this too...

But the thing is it doesnt work particularly well with Z4Mc's as there are so few. It works by basically finding a car thats identical to yours, so you dont need to MOT, tax or insure the car, also if you get caught speeding or any traffic offence it will go to the address of the numberplate owner. My work mate had a megan so it was easier to clone it as there are so many. She had 4 speeding offences sent to her, all in London and she lived 350 miles north... and having an alibi for that period of time got off the hook. Odd they decided to do a Z4M. A criminal without much research, sure everything will turn out fine but it is a pretty big inconvenience.

Well I needed a new front numberplate anyway as there was a crack in it and it was allowing dirt in, so maybe I'll wait to see if I get assigned another registration number :P

I wouldn't wait, I'd ask for a new one otherwise you might get needlessly stopped... and the person who's using your plate won't know you've changed it... so one day soon will get his comeuppance sooner rather than later...

Has no one thought that perhaps mmm-five's car is the clone and this other Z is the real owner of this number? He is from Liverpool after all :poke:
