Do you mind me asking how old you are bear? Didnt think you were anywhere near retirement age...I see more and more people retiring younger and I'm beginning to wonder about the whole scenario...i cannot even imagine retiring as I get seriously bored just having a few weeks off :D
I know Im probably one of those sad bastards that loves their job and enjoys going to work, I like routine and being around folk and cant imagine life without it :cry: what do you plan to do with all your time?

I turned 53 last month, I've had a good job as a technical officer for London underground but I won't miss the shift work or the weekend working. I've got some good friends I'm leaving behind but that's the only lament.
My mum only had 2 years retired before she suffered a major stroke & I think that's had some bearing on my decision.
I've got several hobbies (apart from the zed) so certainly won't be bored :thumbsup:
