Hey guys, just a quick update. As you know Im plannin on getting a new car in 09 and have been testing a few possibles. Well I decided, and am putting a depoit down on monday!!!
My mind has been swaying between them all equally but I just couldnt help coming back to this...The Audi R8 V10, expected mid march 2009.
So now I have a year to find the money, gulp!
I loved the car, the looks are stunning, the V10 will be fast as hell, It is so much more roomy inside than the others I tried and the handling is sublime.
So Im excited just now/S#itting myself :rofl:

I'm sure you will have a lot of fun with it!
Don't forget to tell us all about it once you get it in a year or so.
 
Sounds like a great idea Jas, but can you really stand to wait that long?!
Hope you remember your Z4 pals in the UK and offer us a ride when you get it! :driving:
 
Yeah the waiting is going to be killer but I had intended to keep the Z for another year or so anyways. I think it helps that the car is not out yet(V10 version) so Im not gonna see any and be constantly reminded. It is the paying that Im worrying about, need to start saving!
Ill def get a write up on it when I eventually get it. And hopefully Ill get to a meet in the future so all u Uk folk can get a ride! :thumbsup:
 
Just spoke to the guy Im dealing with at audi who has been very helpful. He basically told me the R8 V10 will be an Audi built engine developing 520bhp and the Gallardo is getting upgraded to 550bhp to keep it a step ahead.
Was wondering what people thought this would do for performance as Im pretty useless with maths etc. Im thinking 200mph, 4sec to 60, maybe slightly quicker?
 
Im sooo excited. Not put a spec on the car yet, as Audi is officially saying the car 'may never exist' although the dealer is taking deposits. You then get a letter saying audi cannot confirm the car will be built but this is all just for legal reasons. Mid 2009 I been told, Im number 6 on the list :D

All I can go on is the Audi V8 options booklet so if all is the same then it will be...

Ice silver with either apollo silver sideblade or oxygen silver sideblade as this is what the demo car I was in had and it was stunning.

Audi hill-hold assist as I love this feature on the Z4
Light package - which basically puts some cool blue lights in the engine bay which illuminate it at night.

The extras really bulk up the price :cry:

So excited tho, only a year and a bit to go :rofl:
