Picked up the car at 10.00 am this morning from Coopers/Inchcape in Malton, it was immaculate, had a good "getting to know you" of 100 miles across The Yorkshire Wolds taking the longest route possible home, ran perfectly, and not a squeek, groan or rattle from anywhere (probably a first in all the verts we've owned), recorded an average of 39mpg......I did stay below 4500 rpm all the time, honestly.
Telephone synced, My BMW and BMW connected up and running, now time to read the instructions.....oh and I've unticked the steering and lane guidance assist....
Best of all Mrs H approves :)

Regards all

John

Why is the plate '70' instead of '20'? I like that colour blue.

Keep up - 70 plates came in on 1 September!

Your car looks great John, and if Mrs H approves that can only be good news!

A 70 registration looks very strange. Not sure why.
Glad the new z4 is ticking boxes and giving pleasure already.

They really are very good, even though lots of people say the looks are questionable.

Feel free to more snaps!

70 simply follows the 69 plates of Sep โ€˜19 and 68 Sep โ€˜18 etc.

When it started it it was the 2001 Sept 51 plated cards, simply 50 away from 01... not sure what theyโ€™ll do come 2050..

I give up: curious. What is all this about the "70 plate"?

That looks very nice.

Do they still give the other half a bouquet ?

I haven't had a gift with a new car for years. I used to get a couple of bottles of crap wine from the Honda dealers when I was with them a few years back, then flowers with a new BMW but that's stopped now. My current G29 didn't even get a full tank of petrol

I thought it might have changed.
Iโ€™ve bought two new and two nearly new BMW s but not a thing for MrsK
