I'm back...!

Well, sort of. Sold my lovely e89 3.0 Msport 5 years ago and bought a 997 Carrera which is great , is a keeper and still going strong. But today we put a deposit on a Valencia orange 2.0 Msport LCI 2014. Picking up next week hopefully, when pics will follow. Will miss the 6 cylinder but still impressed with the pick up on this with 2ltr 4. As its LCI it's a bit different from my old pre-LCI model. So some dumb questions from me! What does the sport/comfort button do? There are three Msport strips on the front grille which look awful - presumably these are a snap fit on/off as they appeared to have tabs. Can't wait to get back in the Z4 - although of course this will be my wife's car so I may have to ask permission! Cheers for any replies! Hizza

Hello..although there were some changes to various light elements the rest of the car is largely the same.

Many parts were quietly changed but not really grouped around the LCI..

All E89s have the comfort sport mode switch...various write ups on it..this E89 post summarises the factory training materials and various updated inputs..

Those distasteful M Sport strips on the front grill are probably just vinyl which you should be able to just peel off.

Well sort of welcome back.

Valencia Orange is such a great colour - I hope you treat us to photos once the car has been collected!

It appears you left before I joined, so sounds a bit odd welcoming you back, however I would like to congratulate you on choosing the perfect colour/model combination. Looking forward to seeing the pics, just to see how similar to mine it is.

I have to say that on mine I notice very little difference in Sport, other than the change in throttle response. Mine's a manual, so it's up to me to select the shift points. The throttle opens more quickly at the start of the pedal movement, meaning a feeling of greater response. It really does seem to just be an adjustment of right foot movement.
I don't have adaptable suspension, so no changes in that. Steering? Yes it does change but not particularly noticeable tbh.

Should be picking Z4 No:4 early next week, just in time for the weather to deteriorate! And potential national lock down :headbang: On my last e89 I bought a Peugeot stubby - does anyone have part number? The mods start here.....
