Those of you who have been around a while will remember I sold my 2003 3.0i 29500 miles last December - always regretted it and have been looking round for a replacement ever since . Thought about a coupe ( but always loved the roadster ) thought seriously about a 3 year old E89 ( have the dosh but feel a bit uncomfortable about spending so much on a toy when things are so hard for so many people )

Anyway after a lot of searching and travelling to look at high mileage crap cars I made one last journey today and found the one :

2004 3.0se M seats , sat nav .black leather ( as new )
one owner
28500 miles
kept in garage all it's life
Full BMW history including two Inspection 1's ,3 brake fluid changes - last oil service Dec12
File full of all receipts etc and all handbooks in pristine condition with all keys etc
18" star type rims

All bodywork totally original in Sterling Grey

Only faults I could find were one wheel with lacquer peeling a bit and some very minor stone chips on the bonnet

Dejavu but I couldn't resist it - just need to arrange a wheel refurb and a full exterior detailing ( not that it really needs it )

Will pick up next week - good to be back!

Sounds a good find , under 30k,BM history & garaged all its life :) on a 2004 you've found a gem i'd say
look forward to the pics

Welcome back gov. She sounds a beauty. Where did you find her? PH/AT?

Autotrader - only been on it the last few days - managed to negotiate to compensate for wheel refurb and two front tyres that were nearing the minimum and a new MOT. The car itself is in quite exceptional condition and garaged from new ( it shows ) Hpi and DVLC mot history all checks out.

Will post some pictures when all done and my personal number on.

I'm off to Somerset to pick up the car tomorrow - getting a bit jittery but should be ok - it's a private sale but I've done everything you can do to eliminate risks ie HPI check ,DVLC mot history check , service record ( all bmw ) . Seller is about my age ( old git ) lives in an expensive detached house and has owned the car from new ( and has just bought an Aston Martin Vantage to replace it ! ) It had a new MOT today ( no advisories ) and two new tyres put on the front ( as negotiated ).

I'll have one last check to satisfy my paranoia then drive back . Lets hope no silly warning lights come on !

Already got in booked in to refurb the one wheel that is peeling ( 18" 108 star split rim type )

Got the zed home now - no problems - car behaved faultlessly - so good to be back in a zed ! Given the exterior and engine bay a going over - everything beginning to look as I would want - wheels ( 18" 108 star style ) to be refurbed in a couple of weeks that will finish it off ( nice looking wheels ) A bit baffled by some of the spec ie Sat nav, bluetooth etc In the cabin compartment there's a dvd thingee and a mobile phone would you believe - not sure how to use all this - seller meticulously kept all paperwork as well as service records etc including the original invoice that shows the total cost when new with extras £35888 !!!!!!!!!!!
