I'm annoyed w/roadster's 3rd brake light

I saw this in abundance at Homecoming: our 3rd brake light doesn't light up L<->R completely. Perhaps when I get back on my feet I will look into this, In the meantime, has anyone else been annoyed like I have?

20Ducks - sorry for the tardy reply, but see the guys have chipped in with some thoughts about to correlation of foot injuy and observing the brake light is not working

Can't say I've seen it, but are we taling about outer LED's not lit or a portion of the housing that you think should be, that is not?

Obviously a photo would be helpful, but I'll have a look at mine later and see if there is anything obvious.

If I remember correctly the outer parts of the assembly do not light up. Whilst sitting here suffering from cabin fever I remembered seeing the design of the lamps and commenting to someone that they don't look complete. Please take a look at yours as I don't have access to my car, you'll see what I am talking about. With all this LED/SMD mods done lately, this may be another that could improve the look of the Zed. Cheers.

Here's a pic of the inside of the third light, on each end the last three sections are shallower and have no led in them. It may be possible to mod them but you'd have to be a little OCD to try it

I see them through the links. I am OCD enough to look into this as a project. Any ideas why those few LED's weren't added? I'm looking for some logic to this.
