Well 6 days on and my car is still not showing as insured on the database of the DVLA, however the people at MID have told my broker, Classicline, that they can't update their system because it's showing as insured there 
So I'm off to tax it the old fashioned way in the morning so no need for the crusher!!

Just checked Nearly 2 weeks on and my car still isn't showing as insured on the Askmid site
What a PITA! Perhaps write a letter to the insurance company's complaint dept. definitely do this if you get stopped over it
