Illuminated Z4 door sills

Passenger one is fine and looks great, but the drivers one is slowly breaking! It’s now very dim and only partially illuminated. I haven’t tried getting it out yet, I assume they’re sealed and non repairable. Would I be correct? I’ve seen the new pair on eBay for loads of money, can I buy them individually? Do they ever come up for sale used, if so, what sort of money?

I may remove the pair and buy the M sills. If I do, what’s the good one likely to be worth on it’s own? May suit someone like myself that’s had the passenger sill break. Shame though as I really liked them.

I didnt think they are openable, but someone on zpost changed his to red LED's so maybe!

Mine make a funny buzzing sound when they are lit.

Also i think Alan recently bought just one from the ebay BMW dealer.. was very dear though.

Ah, interesting. Do you have the link to this mod? I'm handy with a soldering iron, so could give it a go.
