Illuminated Gear Knob

Hi all,
I have a wonky knob. Well.. the lights aren’t illuminating the logo evenly. It came with the car like that and I wondered if the leds inside have become misaligned with age or whether they just suffer that quality issue?

Can anyone help me compare?
