Illegally parked plod car blocking the street!

Here's the view from outside my office today. Illegally parked plod car blocking access for a big delivery truck behind. (Edge St, Manchester).

Naturally I took a photo and tweeted the local council and Greater Mcr Police.

Annoying thing is it was there for over an hour with no parking ticket. I can't leave mine there for 2 mins without a fine.

If on official police business it not illegally parked is it?

If its parked there to nip to the chippy then it would be :?

surely they still have to obey rules, ok I can understand if its an emergency otherwise its just another motor vehicle
 
The pavement is plenty big enough to get it much further over though.
 
At least they'd be out the way of everyone else going about their business though... Pretty sure they can park where they like on police business as said above. That's just bloody inconsiderate if it wasn't an emergency.

Technically you are correct, however this is the real world we are living in
 
I would have waited until said bobby appeared and asked if on police business or not lol then waited while custody van appeared and I was staring out the back window :o
