and she looks so pleased with her lovely reliable Mini
She couldn't stand there too long as the bloody thing would have poured some kind of liquid on her shoes!
When you asked for insurance quotes, you should have told them that the car has barely turned a wheel without leaking vital fluids. It’s hard to crash a car that’s broken down and I’m sure no one would try to steal it either :P

That's the truth. I'm thinking that's why a 120bhp Mini is relatively cheap insurance for a 17 year old....the thieves don't want to pay for recovery!

According to her black box 'app' she has driven 43 miles since passing her test....bless her!
She did go to her friend's house yesterday, which involved negotiating one of the most dangerous junctions in the UK (look it up, the A16 near Crowland...many many deaths since it opened in 2010). She survived! Although don't think my old ticker could survive too many more trips for her there! :)

It is so dangerous that the Highways thought long and hard about changing it....so they reduced the speed limit from 60 to 50 for about 300 yards....oh and painted some bits of the junction red (which has since worn off). Well done Highways...nice to see you are looking out for the safety of the tax paying public! CNUTS! :D

That’s twice the power of my first car, but it’s probably twice the mass too.
That particular car landed on its roof on a single track road five months after I passed my test (at the first attempt - the test, not the crash. I’d already had a few practice crashes by that point).
The car held up fairly well until I kicked the driver’s door open and the roof collapsed. Or, more accurately, the space between the lower half of the car and the road rapidly diminished as the A pillar collapsed. The roof itself remained fairly motionless once it was in intimate contact with the tarmac. Fortunately, since I was lying on the inside of the roof at the time, I was able to shuffle out.
As I stood beside my upturned car in the pouring rain, I felt a little crushed, but actually sustained only a few minor lacerations from the broken windscreen.

They’d probably run out of money after turning the hard shoulder into a lane on the motorway and then paying compensation to the people killed in the inevitable collisions that resulted.
