Some crazy sh#t going on here hundreds of miles from the hurricane. We are completely out of gas here at home on Amelia Island (all the premium blends also, all stations are closed). Jacksonville had the same panic also. Just pretty incredible. A pretty good example of the herd mentality. The govenor has been on reassuring everyone we have enough gas and to report price gouging. Gasoline increased .50 cents in 12 hours. How about the mid west, anything similar? I hope all our Texas forum members are doing well, and out of harms way!

WOW...I haven't notice anything yet in SE PA where I live but just to be safe I am going to run out and fill up... :P

Up .05 in the last 24 hrs -->was $3.74 gallon for premium. I'll check later today what price increase took effect since yesterday.

This must just be regionally isolated to the southeastern US.

Yes...good to hear you got by this one....

Dammitt!!! Gas went up by .50 over night!!!!! We are in freaking north Georgia and should not be affected by this at all. Texas only sustained a Cat II hurricane and it should not effect us one way or the other. Damn oil/gas companies trying to make a killing by boosting the prices over the next few days. Let's see how long it takes for the prices to go back down :|

Prices will most likely go down when gas production can start up again. It takes 2 days to restart gas production after a shutdown. :tumbleweed:

Here in NC, governor invoked the anti price gouging rule. Some stations had shot up to $5/gal and more (and the prices were running $3.50 or so for regular) :x

Switch to the metric system. Our gasoline is only $1.35 per liter. :) Oops, after the exchange rate that's USD $4.80 per U.S. gallon. :o :(

AT 4pm on Saturday, gas prices in KC went up .10 to 20 cents per gallon. Some hadn't changed at all from Friday. I'll check them out later after Church Services.

A few folks are gonna get nice little letters from the AG!!

Dumb@sses around here all lined up to fill up Friday and that helped run up prices too. :x

It was $4.09 yesterday and today it is $4.39. I think I should put all my stock in oil. They love to rip us off.
