IHKA a/c controls energy saving

Good morning,

A new day a new problem. My IHKA fan won't go above minimum as it is in energy saving mode. Is this related to transport mode?

Is it possible to rectify this with INPA or other software. I've read that DIS is needed but I don't know where to find it, if it is indeed that.

If your aircon isn’t working and your rear screen demister doesn’t work it’s probably transport mode

You can use DIS (included in the usual bimmertools software) or scanner 1.4

Thanks I'll check the demister once I've finished my work meeting. I have found a link for DIS as didn't have it when I downloaded INPA/NCS etc. last year

Downloading from a link I found now

Demister not working. I never thought I'd get caught with transport mode, but with the electrical issues I've had over the last few weeks I am not surprised.

Hopefully my DIS download works.

Low battery condition is the cause for Transport Mode to activate.
As bigwinn has already pointed you in the right direction to what software can reset it I will add that it can be deleted from the car altogether so it doesn't happen again but a higher end scan tool is needed and makes it simple to delete it from all the modules on the car that it resides in. I make a point of deleting it from our members cars when they come to our Zedshed Cymru using my Launch Tablet Scanner. The popular Creator 310+ scanner has the option in its menu but it doesn't work to either delete or reset it. BMW Scanner 1.4 run on a laptop can reset it to normal mode but not delete it from the car. Scanner 1.4 is by far the easier software to use for a lot of issues and some coding than the oem software.
You don't say or display in your user details where in the world you are, might be an idea to show this, you may be near someone who could assist you.

My signature does say I reside in Bannau Brycheiniog, or the Brecon Beacons. I'm actually just outside Brecon, and I've just added that to my profile.

I'm downloading DIS at the moment, so I'll try that to at least turn it of for now. When I have a bit more time, it would probably be worth me popping down and getting you to disable it permanently.

I'm glad DIS isn't needlessly complicated. Still don't have it running, DIS keeps freezing, and I haven't even managed to get the diag head connected yet. It can see it but for some reason it's not populating the subnet details. When I try and put them in manually it tells me it couldn't reconfigure the diag head.

Guess it'll be a cold two hour drive for me in the morning.
