Ignition Switch….BMW or aftermarket?

New to then forum, looking forward to getting involved.

Got the tell tale signs the ignition switch is failing (nothing happens when trying to start 2 out of 4 times).
Replacing seems simple enough but the prices vary a lot….over £90 at BMW and £30 on eBay.

Is it worth the extra at BMW? Or can anyone recommend a specific aftermarket site/brand?

Hi, and welcome.
I fitted an ebay special two years ago and it is still going strong. Takes about 5 mins to replace. Can't find the link, but was around the £30 mark and came from Lithuania. Sorry I can't be more specific.

Could also be battery or starter motor. On my car first time round I replaced the ignition switch and it turned out to be battery and then a few years later it was the battery.
