Hey guys im having a compressor fitted to the car and i need a 12v ignition source for it, so when the engine is cranked then the compressor will turn on too.

now normal cars be easy can run it off the ecu, starter etc but those are all the engine bay.

because the compressor is being fitted in the boot and all the wiring is there too im wondering does any body know of any 12v ignition sources (except the battery of course) in the boot

i havent had a check myself yet so thought id ask here first. saves me running lots of cable to the ignition barrel then too.

thanks

Open up the passenger glove box and get access to the fuses, to the right of the glove box find a purple wire (with a white tracer i think), that is a good source for an ignition live, but if its for a compressor I would only use that to trigger a relay and wire your compressor source direct to the battery.

Thanks for the reply guys il look at the options when I start wiring it up.

The compressor will be directory wired to the battery I just need an ignition source for the relay yes.

And yep your correct air ride.
