Hey everyone, I'm new to this forum and I'm looking into buying a Z4 with a manual transmission. One of the cars I'm looking at has a problem with the ignition key core. The seller says the core shaft has failed and the key just spins 360 degrees without engaging. He also says the key core kit is $500 and should fix the problem. Right now the car won't turn on and he says it needs to be towed. I'd like to ask if anyone here has heard of such a problem. I'm always suspicious of cars that have what seems to be a simple issue that the sellers won't fix before selling it and I'm wondering if this is a cover for a bigger problem.
