Ignition coil

Is it common to have another coil to fail after replacing one of the other 6 ? I came to my car Xmas eve started it and noticed it idling different to normal after a few seconds the amber engine light came on so I rang for recovery, they said it was a misfire on cylinder 2 replaced the coil and sorted the problem.
Gone to go and start the car today and the same has happened idling the same haven't rang the recovery as I haven't got home start could this be another coil ?
Any help would be great thanks

Yes that's normal. They last a certain time because the get hot over&over again.
You're best off ordering the other 5 on ebay for a good price

I can get Bosch ones at 21GBP each from Eurocarparts doesn't seem a bad price

Hi

When I has my e85 3.0i I changed all 6 with Europarts Bosch ones (well m did)

they are a oem suppler to BMW so the same part

purchase a set of 6 and keep the old ones as get out of jail spares
