Google have reduced the price of the Nexus 4 to £159 (8GB) and £199 (16GB) (both plus £9.99 delivery) - this will be due to the imminent arrival of a new model but it's an incredible price for a high-end device

- SIM free so will work on any network
- Made by LG, but subsidised by Google
- Quad Core processor
- HD Screen (4.7 inch, 768 x 1280 pixel, ~318 ppi)
- 2GB RAM
- 8MP camera

Google release Android updates/versions to the Nexus phones before anything else so you're always on the latest version.

Saw this yesterday - would also recommend if anyone is looking!

At this price, there isn't a better phone or anything close.
 
My brother had one... For the price its brilliant!

Def cant compare it to an galaxy, htc one or iphone, but imo much better value.

I was looking at one of these to replace my iPhone 4S. My camera has stopped working despite numerous resets. It's out of warranty so the only option is to pay £140 to get it replaced by Apple - and even then I'm at risk of the same thing happening again.

Aquazi, I'd be interested to hear why you think it wouldn't compare?

From what I can tell the advantages are:

A working camera!
Bigger screen (although not too big it renders the phone massive like the S4 etc)
Faster CPU (admittedly you probably can't tell the difference 90% of the time)
The Android version of Google Maps supports "offline" mode

I don't really have many apps on my iPhone and the ones that I do are available for Android.

The only thing that puts me off is all the crap that seems to be installed on Android phones although from a quick Google it appears that it can be removed with a bit of tweaking.

There's little or no additional 'crap' installed on the Nexus phones, they are Google's showpiece and run vanilla Android, it's all the other manufacturers that add their own skins and bloatware
 
The only thing that stopped me from buying one is the lack of space. 8GB or 16GB options with NO EXPANSION memory card slots.

Apart from that, they are very good.
