Who's Next - life changer!

I can't listen to that synthesizer without thinking it's based on PT's vital statistics.
Like 3 1/2 inches sounds like that ? :fuelfire:

Love U2, too hard to chose one album, so it would have to be U2 18 Singles to get most of the best

That's such an Alan Partridge line :)

I did once drive a Lexus IS200

However I have loved U2 since I was 12, so that's almost 28 years of music so I am excusing myself and my cardigan :P

Bruce Springsteen - Born To Run, I bought this when it was released in 1975, and thirty seven years later I still play it, only eight tracks and a shade under 40 mins long. Simply stunning from the opening of Thunder Road to the climax of Jungleland and not a single weak song in sight. Pure heaven!!!

Supertramp, Crime of the century. Or Pink Floyd, Dark side of the moon.

There is so much great music out there that this question is like asking a parent to pick one child over another.

Surely that's easy, you go for the best one? (I don't have kids, can you tell ;) )

It's so difficult, almost impossible, however because Radiohead have not released a greatest hits album, I have gone for.....

Hell freezes over - Eagles

Now a top 10 would be easier.....

Plan B - Paint It Blacker (Bootleg)

So many samples it would never get released.........shame coz it's my favourite of his 4 Albums and deserves to be heard by more.
Favourite track that I've linked here is the Leonard Cohen sampled "Suzanne". Based on the "Camdem Ripper" it is quite harrowing.
I've listened to this album at least once a week since its release.
It was a real toss up between this and Bowies - Hunky Dory and Floyds - DSOTM. But next week it could be Dexys Midnight Runners - Searching For The Young Soul Rebels. :)

There is a Radiohead greatest hits album, released against the bands wishes

One album for a whole year?! That's cruel!

But if I had to choose quickly, it'd probably be something like "Birth of the Cool" by Miles Davis.

Love some of the above.
Dead Kennedy's and The Pistols - oh yeah! Add The Undertones, Stranglers, The Ruts, Pattie Smith, Siouxsie, Buzzcocks and Skids and you have a full house.
From the 80's some good ones but what about The Human League, OMD, Duran Duran, Heaven 17, Ultravox, Echo and The Bunnymen, The Specials, Yazoo etc.
Nobody for Oasis, The Stones, Marillion, Coldplay or Queen?
Kraftwerk - Autobahn
Green Day - American Idiot
Kaiser Chiefs - Employment
Phil COllins - Face Value
New Order - Power, Corruption and Lies

Wow this is tough........

No, Got it - Fleetwood Mac - Rumours.
Owned this for ever and it is just an amazing album. Gets me thought Dark days and High days. Bet you all know it. If not go get a copy.....

Portishead - Dummy
Was only just talking about this yesterday. 1995. New summer of love. All my flatmates also returned to our shared house with a copy after uni holidays. Cue late nights playing this, Massive Attacks Protection, Pulp Fiction soundtrack and Tricky's Maxinquaye.

Great year for music :)

Yes, definitely was moody uni music. Takes me back to those Fresher days when life was so carefree :)
