If you could have an M in any paint colour...

I love the classic Alpina blue colour. The Carbon Black my car has is growing on me, as I never realised just how blue it actually is.

I love interlagos blue (had an m3 cs before in it and looked for a Z in the same), however I am considering repainting the car, and I am very much considering spending quite a bit more for a colour change to Oxford Green :tumbleweed:
I love it and think it would look pretty great on the Z. Maybe one day...

Are you sure about those photos? They look like they've had very heavy post-production to me.

I've had several BMWs in Oxford Green and it looked not much like any of those colours in the photos. It looked smart enough on 5-Series Tourings (E34 and E39s). Sort of a country pheasant shoot look. I had it on an E38 740i with a tan interior and it just about worked for me. I've seen it in reality on an E46 M3 and it didn't appeal and I'm not so sure about it working on a Z4. All of those examples above do look good...but I don't think their imagines in the photos are truly Oxford Green.

There is a BIG difference between Oxford green 1 and Oxford green 2 (M3 E46)
1 is boring but 2 is Lovely.

As much as I love silver grey 8E4E9BB0-0453-48B4-80CB-567A18E9072B.jpeg

I think Urban green would be cool

Urban green? More like rural green, if your going to paint it that colour you may as well have a camouflage wrap.

Would be Estoril all day long for me :)

Favourite M colour ever, apart from the fact every model is now available in it which is a real shame. Even on the M3 it was an individual colour.

I'd agree the 1st looks heavily processed.
I quite like the low key paint colour look on a car like this (I guess that's why I like the blue), but yes maybe it wouldn't work. Thanks for talking me out of it :)
I do like a nice green though

Not one for green but this MR2 with the gold wheels looks just great.

BMW did a couple of colours like that John...

I think one was called Scarab green and Messing Metallic green.

It’s not a Toyota colour Gaz it’s a one off but doesn’t it look good? Soooooo tempted to do one my MR2’s in it...

Im not a lover of green but some can look stunning..

There was a messing metallic E46 M3 near me that i used to see, just so unusual...

Jesus that E46 looks so good, I’ve been seriously thinking of getting back into one again and pictures like that do not help.

Now that!!!

If you could replicate that colour, I'd be 2nd in the queue behind you! :D

That would look fantastic!

My best friend is like you, Tom...he absolutely LOVES Estoril. Yet, I just don't 'get it' on anything other than an E36 M3.

Again, an E36 M3 and an E34 M5 are the only cars that colour works for me on!
I guess I remember those cars being launched so vividly...I was already on my late 20s/early 30s that I just associated those cars with those colours too strongly?
Same with Estoril.
Dakar Yellow is the same.
