I just found this on Ebay....

That's what I had to do, a complete rear axle assembly from an E46 M3 and a shortened propshaft ( driveshaft in the US ). The other thing is that the M axle is narrower overall so you have to think about wheels/spacers etc. It was worth it though!! Best part was that after fitting M3 front hubs I could fit OEM CSL rims. That was before the Z4M was availabe and before aftermarket CSL rims were everywhere so it was quite unique at the time.

By the way, if anyone needs a 3.62 ratio ///M LSD I have a spare for sale. Sorry about the blatant plug! While I'm at it I also have a low mileage 3.23 ratio diff which is standard on the 3.0Si and Alpina with manual trans. It will fit any other Z though other than the ///M and could give you a nice bit of extra acceleration depending on what ratio you currently have.
