Went in for my first service today. While chatting to the sales people discovered that the full idrive will nod be standard on all z4 built from about a month from now.
Because it's the old Idrive fitted to the e89 and they'll want shut of stock ready for when they stop making the car. Still, saves some cash for new e89 buyers.
They said that any models which didn't previously have it as standard were now getting it across the board. Can't remember the other changes. I was just pricing up a 35is and a 4 series coupe.
Its been about a month since I last looked at config app and yes Nav now seems to be standard but Im fairly sure that base price has increased also so not quite the giveaway it seems ?
The connected drive was a yearly payment - now the £140 yearly payment can be reduced to £80 for six months. That suits me for my zed as it only comes out in the summertime
Bmw customer services told me that it can be restarted after the December to April lay up.
I think the system is like the curate's egg - good in places.
The email is quite a cumbersome effort and not secure ie. When it goes for service etc. unless I've missed something!
