iDrive music collection play order

HAs anyone else noticed that when one plays an album from the iDrive music collection, it plays the songs alphabetically, rather than by album sequence?
I noticed it when listening to the Killers "Sam's Town" which has a specific beginning, middle and end and the play order was alphabetical rather than sequential.
I assume (hope) that i don't have to rename each track 01 "title", 02"title etc in order to have albums play in the correct sequence.
Any thoughts?
 
I've never noticed as I don't tend to remember an album sequence I just play the tracks I like or set the thing to random...
 
i use the usb to play music on random as the Usb remembers random setting when you turn the engine off. i use the HDD if i want to listen to a specific album....as random resets when you turn the engine off & the shuffle isnt to smart (i.e. not too random) as the same albums appear to be sampled. in the same order on the engine restart
 
I had a look at my music collection, all the tracks are labelled 01, 02, 03 etc.
It seems that if you use the search function to find an album / artist etc then the tracks seem to list alphabetically, but if you browse to albums then the track number is displayed first and the album tracks play in order...
problem solved :)
 
My music collect that was transferred from iTunes to an iPod plays the songs in alphabetical order - a dam nuisance for some music! However, with my iPhone connected they play in normal order! About to try with a new USB drive to see what that does.
