iDrive 2nd presets

I'm sorry if this is a stupid question but I've researched this thoroughly and I cant find an answer!

A couple of weeks ago after my wife drove the car the 8 iDrive presets seemed to be showing a second set which were mostly empty. I've not been able to find how to bring that 2nd set back, and having 16 presets rather than 8 would be dead handy! Could someone put me out of my misery please :oops:

Never seen more than the original set of button presets. These presets are key dependent so perhaps you were using the second key?
 
Maniac is right, it's the second key. Confused the hell out of me as I'm the only driver and had no idea why it was suddenly giving me all different presets. Turns out I hadn't used the spare key yet and it was the previous owner's presets.

I believe the keys also save the seat positions and mirrors too perhaps?

Yes it does if you have electric memory seats. It also retains how the aircon was set auto vs preselected fan options but not if you've switched it off. It also retains some of the options like how the key opens the car, the follow me home lights and even if you have the 3 indication tap.

I used to use the spare for servicing and always forgot I hadn't programmed the indicators. Used to drive me mad. One of the first things I did when I got my E89.
