hi there all,

been lookign at my z4 and is starting to look abit plain,
wonder have anyone done any mod on the car to beef it up a bit, for example like addign a little detail to it etc?
not lookign to change the whole bodykit, but to make it m0ore standout, anyone any idea or have done any work on it b4???

Plain is good the Z4 has superb styling i would like to make mine even more clean looking like loose the badge and spotlights from the front bumper and loose the lock and badge from the boot and also the ariel and a headlight change would be nice if it was possible more aggressive looking headlights as on some of the other BMWs in the range

well i look at the achitzer side vent, the chrome ones which is pretty interesting but is expensive
i really wanna make it look abit outstanding just like the M3 compare to the rest of the 3 series, is just that little bit more on the looks...

You could go for the aero sideskirts, or bumper or M bumper.

There's plenty of interchangable parts so you can pick and choose what you want, depending on budget and diy ability.

Show us a pic and it would give us some ideas.

I'm not sure you'll find many pics of a Z with just the sideskirts, but here's a thread with lots of pics of a Z with them fitted (amongst many other mods for inspiration)

http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=643&hilit=aero&start=105

Maybe a group buy of aero sideskirts is needed

Edit: this thread has standard bumpers with aero sideskirts http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=74&p=22334&hilit=aero#p22334
I really should stop looking at them, it's making me to want to spend more money :headbang:

Mine got a whole slew of mods on it when I got going, but what you change depends upon the start point. Ie pre or post facelift, type of lights, etc. and what oyu intend it to look like.

One's that are visible on mine and part of and entire 'package' would include:
2006 facelift front
Clear indicator lights with custom AE's
Clear repeaters and third brake lights
Stubby aerial
CF badges
108 rims
Red ///M seats and interior
MFSW with paddles
Door handle LEDS
Puddle lights
Hardtop for Winter

If any interest I can point you to write ups or details

Other have added sideskirts, rear spoilers, diffusers, etc.

God damn its looks good with just the sideskirts on too. Was hoping it wouldn't look right. Are these easy to come by? What kinda price ?

any pics?

Here's a few recent generic pictures with and without the hardtop. If you want information on any particular one of the mods then I'll point you too it.

Whatever you do my personal belief is that it has to be done as part of an overall theme and subtle is best.

hey cj, was looking at those cf badges, can u get them for the one on the side where the indicator lights r?
been consider getting one of those ac schnitzer side vent, u knows those chrome ones? to replace the indicator bits, but everywhere seem to be very expensive.

Yes - as shown on the photos they are on the side repeaters. They are fitted to the bonnet, boot, sides, wheels centres and even steering wheel on mine, else why bother mixing and matching. Search on Ebay as they are easy enough to find. Bonnet one needs some modification to fit, but do a search on the site for instructions.

I personally don't like the Schnitzer side vents that much and as you say they are very expensive.
