Ideas for storage behind seats on shelf

Hi everyone. Does anyone use, or have any ideas for better storage options on the shelf bit (with the cargo netting) behind the seats. The space seems a little bit of an eyesore when its stuffed with hats, detailing bit etc. like many of us have on that shelf.
I'm looking for some storage ideas, bags etc that would fit that space specifically??

Any brainy or wacked-out ideas welcome :)

Perhaps they would have a narrow plastic storage container at an office supplier, like an A4 size with a hinged lid that would fit sideways.

My wife keeps a pair of her 'driving shoes' on that little shelf behind the ping pong net. Every time I clean the car, I remove them and throw them in the house, as they make it look messy inside. :)

I am hoping my coffee cup holder will fit

Let's hope so. Cos in 2024 no-one can do without a cup of coffee in their car every 20 minutes. Unthinkable!

What did we do before Starbucks? I am surprised we didn't all die of thirst. :D

To be honest, Starbucks is disgusting coffee and I dread going into a motorway service station north of Bristol

I've actually got a can of Tyreweld and my tyre pump back there on mine at the moment, only because we used the boot space to the max while in France. Other than that I keep my ice scraper, hat and other bits-n-bobs as required there. As mentioned above you ain't getting much else in there due to the seats, and if you've got electric seats then it's a bit of a pain trying to get anything of length out! :? In the past we have had a suit bag and a dress bag hanging from the hooks for a wedding "up north", which worked very well indeed.

As for the coffee cup holder, as long as it's the correct width then it should be fine.
Oh and prior to Starbucks, it was a case of make your own before you set off if that's what you want. Personally I can last without a coffee, in fact it's very rare I'll have a drink with me anyway.

Although back in my day Starbuck was this....

Although I prefer the later, much improved, version...

Yeah my seat is also all the way back, but I've got my jack, wheel spanner and "patch kit" (in a nice nylon bag that used to house some ski holding bracket, who goes skiing in a Z4???) on the one side and a small tire inflator on the other. First aid kit and general purpose micro fibre cloth lives in the hatch leading to the boot (removed the bag but reinstalled the back cover so it's a cubby hole). Oh and sometimes the wind deflector also ends up on the shelf.

PS. Why does that guy look like Face from the A-team and who the heck is Starbuck?

That's because it is Face from The A-Team :D Previously Dirk Benedict played Starbuck in Battlestar Galactica (1978), and when it was re-booted in the early 2000's the character changed and was played by Katee Sackhoff

Aaah ok my bad, I'm a late Gen X'er, so didn't know Battlestar Galactica was a reboot ... or well the one I knew ... I missed the first one by a year 😅

I very much doubt if anyone on here was around before Starbuck. He was the First Mate on Captain Ahab's ship Pequod in Moby Dick (1851). I also can't see how you would get coffee out of him
