So the idea although not new has gone down well to organise some kind of ID for people and their cars. The idea being some kind of non geeky badge for us and something for our cars. Car stickers is a great idea and already being done but the idea of knowing whose is whose car and just being able to walk up to someone you know from the forums or fb and say hi is a fab idea.

Doing a bit of research so any ideas or contacts appreciated.

When we were at Silverstone Classic a couple of years ago quite a few of the Z3 crowd from roadster.net (I think) had show plates on their cars with their forum names on, stuck on when they parked up. Though it doesn't identify the individual, it at least points you at the person by way of their car. Thought it was quite neat... Though you'd need a really long plate :P

Or, we need to sit in a circle like an AA meeting and say....."Hi my name is Lux and I drive the...the...the...silver E89...But just saying it to everyone has put me on the road to recovery!!" (just think of the shame  )

Hi Sarah  ! I was referring more to the meets I've attended in the past, often being the only girl (driver) present people already know my name.

Were u at shepshed on sun ?
I think I spotted a Maldives blue Alpina RS in the photos, if so it was probably Denise's. She posts on another Z forum though, not sure if she is a member here.
Quite like the idea of a name badge with the forum logo too so that we can spot fellow zedders.
