Ice on windscreens

Obviously a couple of elves took your car for a joyride overnight, and they had to clean the window so they could see where they were going. That also enabled them to park your car exactly where you left it.

See, a scientific explanation is the only explanation needed.

Same here... All cars in the street incl the Z4 screens totally iced over... Other half's 5-series barely an ice crystal?? It's only 6 months old, maybe a factory seal or something on the glass??

I couldn't open the drivers side door today! Luckily the passenger one opened and I climbed across.

Mines got the convertible hard top where the windows shift down a little when you pull on the handle, was frozen solid tho! Nearly panicked as never had this before....

Happens to me all the time! My Z4 is frozen up on the drive as I type! Had to take the old 4x4 this morning and last night!

Or did you park under a street light?

I know when I do on frosty nights, i never have a frozen windscreen when other cars do !

-5 here yesterday, dropped to -11 overnight. Windscreen frozen on the inside of the wife's car - told her she talks too much - as well as outside. Will be breaking out the old sheets tonight :D

Tapatalking...

I assume the old sheets are for the old bed that you are now sleeping in without your wife :poke:

You'd think......no ice again....I'm pleased.....just heavy snow in London now....

Love the snow!! I was disappointed when I woke up and their was none in my part of London, not even ice on my windscreen today! Its picked up though and settling. Get to go home at 3. However there is also an empty bay reserved for staff in case we can't...really hope thats not the case...

here's a tip :

when you park at night , place a cloth (tea towel etc) on your windscreen and in the morning , if the temperature is below zero (C) you will have a perfectly screwed up screen with a tea towel frozen onto it....

but really, ....three pages of posts about ice on windshields :headbang:

It's simple, if it's icy...scrape it off, if it's not icy....SMILE and be thankful that you don't have to scrape it off :D :D

Looking at the packed down ice in front of my driveway right now and wondering why anyone lives here... Intellectuals or not.? I've scraped ice off my vehicles for the last 40 years, every day for 5 months a year and it does become a bit tiresome.

I'm just a wee bit jealous that you worry about a bit of ice once in awhile 8)

It's because we are British Sir!

The whole country goes into total panic and meltdown.
