Ice locked me out this morning!

Warm water? So British... It freezes in ten minutes to create a wholesome layer of ice, no matter if you pour it on the seals or the pavement.

Anyway, I just brush the snow off the car, scrape if off the windscreen, get in, start driving. After 10 minutes all the windows operate as they should. Every day, three months a year, and no trouble.
 
We had -25 C / -13 F last week and whole car was block of ice. Windows were also stuck few times. I use credit card/ driver licence / etc between window and rubber.
 
I just tip a bit of cold (not warm) water around the edge of the window and it opens fine.
I've gummy'd but it still got stuck last winter.
