"Extremely rare supercar (number 113 of 170)"

"This model has much more appeal and is a lot, lot rarer. People who see you driving this car who know their cars will realise that they are looking at something that they will probably never see another one of ever again."

"The standard 3.0 litre straight 6 engine has been bored out by Alpina to 3.4 litres (compared to 3.2 on the Z4M)..."

"Make no mistake – this is an extremely rare supercar..."

The car looks good

Couldn't help chuckling of the above chat on that page though :D

There is also a black AUC (2005 54) from Sytner Nottingham, £20,850 with 14k miles only.

It will mate. It will...

Way overpriced ... In 2006 they were being sold for just over 20k.

Depends how bothered you are about the rareness of a car. Theres a lot of nice cars you could buy for that. For me 20k = Porsche.

I hear you....

The standard 3.0 litre straight 6 engine has been bored out by Alpina to 3.4 litres (compared to 3.2 on the Z4M) and provides a staggering 300bhp and 0-60mph in just five seconds.
Actually I believe they got that wrong. If I am not mistaken the Alpine 3.4 engine is based upon the S52 3.2 L engine and is modified by Alpina including being bore out to 3.4 L. If I am wrong someone please let me know but I know I did read that somewhere...

Someone somewhere told me it was based on the E36 3.0 M3 engine, will try and find the post.

Actually, here it is http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=104555#p104555

Your quite right, the basic engine was E36 based, it's the S52B32 (E36 M3 US; grey cast iron crankcase version) to be exact, however the block, crank, pistons, rods, head etc all have unique Alpina part numbers so they are not standard "off the shelf" BMW parts. I think the extra capacity came from the use of a longer throw crankshaft more than anything but I could be wrong, the cylinder bore is 87.00mm but I don't know how that compares to the E36 M3. Alpina say they used the single Vanos purely for reliability.

Ignoring the fact he has his facts wrong, that made me laugh - he boasts about the larger capacity and seems to miss the fact that even with it, it's producing quite a bit less power! Not a fan of Alpinas take on front splitters and wheels myself but a nice car all the same...shame the seller is going a bit over the top.
