I am after fitting an aux in for my ipod in my 06 3.0si. I dont have much time these days so I am considering getting a dealer to do it but may be expensive. If a dealer fitted it where would the connector be? Also a rough cost. Also does anyone no of a audio place in the north east than could fit it. I may try fitting it myself but cant find a kit?

Thanks

ive been reading this, think ill buy an aux in and then extend the cable into the centre storage where the cd changer is, as thats where i keep my iphone.

doesnt seem too hard to install, get past vent, access stereo, feed cable down to ashtray.

From the retrofit instructions my dealer printed when I bought mine it would be fitted in the glovebox. Not where I put mine though :)

Same instructions reckon 1.5 hours installation time and that is what the dealer will quote (and likely charge) you. Doubt it would take them 30 mins though :? We don't call 'em stealers for nothing

I had a dealer quote...£360 installed!! No thank you...

I am not technical enough to attempt to take the dash apart, so the CD changer will have to do.

Ouch :o

Where in London are you? - I'd put it in for you for half that

Seriously it aint that hard and I'd do it for nowt!

W2. In all seriousness, would give you £50 (credit crunch!).

Maybe more if you fancy replacing the bulbs with brighter!

Sounds sad, but I am seriously nervous about damaging her...tried to install an amp in my 206 a few years ago and it did not end well...

Car is being picked up tomorrow by dealer for waranteed roof repair, having a look at the tracking (steering wobble at 30/40mph and a rattle behind the dash...

seriously, i installed mine after reading all the help and guidance info on here and i am a complete novice. I did it in about 30 mins, the hardest part is removing the vents. I fed the cable through to the panel under the heater controls so you dont have to have the ash tray open whilst its in use, i have to say it looks & sounds great.

there are always people to help on here, so your never stuck !

But what if I damage the vent or...

Well, it could not be worse than the 206, I drilled a hole in the fire wall! (only a small one)

Peugeot never noticed when I gave it them back (was an HP)...
