The ZHP knob is a great improvement - I'll post a link if you ever bother to say what gismo you got for USB use.

You don't want zhp or stormwerks. You want a Buckley special knob. Better than those other inferior knobs imo :fuelfire:

You don't want any of those, you want an eyeball one...

I wholeheartedly endorse the ZHP upgrade concept. I drove an actual ZHP for 5 years so I have firsthand experience. :)

Note that you will lose the shift pattern backlighting with the normal ZHP knob. There are modified ones out there that restore the lighting, but they are expensive. The other option is the F10 M5 knob, which is almost exactly the same shape/size, but is backlit.

My recent Z4MC acquisition came with one of the 2 knobs, I'm not sure which it is - but it is backlit. It also has a LeatherZ shift boot with M stitching, a VERY nice accessory.

You have some marvelous knobs, but an idea of what they cost would be useful.

The Buckley knob was a limited run and now sold out (I paid £37)
The ZHP is around £55 - £59 new from dealers. Sopers offer a forum discount.
Stormwerks knobs vary depending on the style: http://www.storm-motorwerks.com/interior/bmw/shift_knobs_v1/

I'll second the Buckley stainless steel knob - cold in winter though
