Yeah they do. Garages just remove em to make em look good.

Interesting I saw two in Newcastle last weekend. Neither had a NP... That one above is one of them I took a cheeky shot of.

Read the law here:

http://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/2001/561/pdfs/uksi_20010561_en.pdf

I have heard of garages refusing to dispense petrol when no plate was displayed to be recorded...!!

Bets on how long you can drive it for with out getting pulled over

Im going with a week driving arround here, good luck

On the upside you can blut the average speed cameras on the a127 now

Meah i had no plate for 6 months last yr.. And now got no plate again... As got my bumper resprayed... Passed plenty of plod... But i leave it visible on my dash.

But yeah i'd fill those screw holes... Certainly ruin the clean look you are going for.

Id say the same. Some screw-covers would probably fit in the holes fine and looks quite neat (would look like parking sensor caps to the untrained eye), and be fairly simple to uncap if need be. Something like this http://images.idealhere.com/AM05-06-0149/001.jpg or this http://img.directindustry.com/images_di/photo-g/screw-cap-20325-2327209.jpg in the right colour.
