I thought my car couldn't be any cleaner!

Since getting the car last year it's been cleaned nearly every weekend and polished regularly, I thought it looked great apart from those couple of tiny surface scratches that I just couldn't shift.

Returned from local detailer 3 days later and the difference it unbelievable!
Single stage machine polish.
Calipers painted.
Headlights polished.
13 years of contamination removed.
And no tiny scratches!
:D

There's clean and there's 'detailed clean' which are truly like chalk n cheese on the eye.

Looks beaut!

Looks great  you must be really chuffed.

I have just cleaned mine this morning and found yet more chips at the front :x

Was wanting to get it machine polished but I think I need to get the front end painted before I do and then put a film or ceramic coating on.

Must be me as my last car got chipped as well. :(

Looks great Rich, and what a difference, you must be well pleased

Cleaned my zed today and noticed that it is in need of a machine polish as it's been 2 years since I last did it.

Looking good there
Going to have to bite the bullet and take my E89 to a detailer....it's white and the paint could be improved....tar spots, etc, etc

Thanks guys, I'm very pleased with the result!
Money well spent and will make my job much easier now!

What's the going rate to get this done?

How long's a piece of string? It really all comes down to your budget, a detailer will assess the damage/defects and talk you through the service options which will be best suited for your vehicle and also to suit your budget and requirements. Unless you are quite indepth with detailing and its products, then you can say to the company what you want carried out and which products applied etc. If not then a detailer will talk you through the bolt on packages/products (i.e ceramic coating/long term coating, wax upgrades etc) or service bolt ons (i.e engine bay detail, interior detail, convertible roof seal, wheel off detail etc etc) The list is never ending.

Do a bit of research before hand on who's best in your area, as the saying goes pay cheap pay twice, unfortunately one of my customers had to pay 3 times until he himself was finally satisfied with the work which we carried out for him.

Well said Silva1,

I always ask that my customers drop in to my studio for an assessment of their vehicle as well as a chat to find out how often they wash their car and how often they drive it.

There is no point in selling a customer a full Correction Detail if its a daily driver that they wash down at the local petrol station twice a week. Believe it or not, we don't always like to pull the money from our customers wallets.

Richards car was priced at £300 for 3 days work. This included a single stage machine polish, caliper and hub painting and application of Nano Sealant

Money well spent Paul, I've now got a great base work with and got rid of those little annoying marks that you never notice when you buy a car but niggle away at you once you realise they're there!

And I promise to clean the tailpipes better?

If you need any help or advice please just ask

The difference a proper detail makes is incredible. After a few years even 'good' wash technique isn't enough anymore!
