.....I need a little forum diagnostic. Basically to add to my recent Z4 problems, tonight my window dropped and when I pressed the button it sounds like what I think is the regulator chewing itself up?

Does this sound about right? The reason I ask is that it's already booked in for an oxygen sensor change on Friday so I'll phone them in the morning and ask them to add a window regulator to the bill

Does anyone know the part number for the coupe? I've found a couple so don't know which ones which.

Had exactly the same issue myself two weeks ago. Easy enough job, but part is quite expensive.
