I think I want a coupe...

The only thing that would tempt me is the M coupe in Sepang with Champagne interior.

So if your thinking of selling, please DON'T tell me, as I cannot afford it right now :x

I would def want to stay with champagne....

And either white or sepang, luckily they don't turn up too often

Sorry, but to me, a roadster owner, the coupe has too fat an ass - what can I say, just my opinion :idunno: :-D

The rest are lacklustre.....

Nonsense! Such terms should be restricted to city cars and underpowered estates like the old 518 was back in the day!

The 3.0si is perfectly adequate for a titchy car such as a zed.

As for the coupe's as Bing I think you're just jealous the roadsters is cut in half and looks hideous!

I've seen many an ex roadster owner praising the coupé saying they'd never return to a roadster.

But I haven't seen any ex coupé owners switching allegiance to a roadster?

To add to that coupés have depreciated less than roadsters and will probably continue to depreciate at a slower rate.

Speaks for itself really.

I thought (briefly) about a Coupe before buying IMmie. My daughters both protested loudly and demanded another car with a drop top. Now both in love with IMmie

I have not taken offence to this... However I think 'hideous' is a little harsh, and also nonsense :poke:

As for depreciation speaking for itself, that is at least partly misguided - the simple fact is there are less coupes on the roads, and possibly not that much less demand than for a roadster. Demand higher than supply = higher prices. Basic economics. If the depreciation is saying to you that the coupe is more attractive than the roadster and simply a better car, then I think that's a subjective and emotional interpretation that is not terribly valuable.

My subjective view is that I don't find the coupe's rear end as attractive as the roadster... Granted the roadster looks better hood down than hood up, but then my hood is down a lot. If I get bored of top down motoring - highly unlikely, but possible - then of course I'd consider a coupe as I love Z4s. But by then a 35is might fit the bill :D

Roadster v Coupe debate Volume 675

Indeed. I was trying to avoid the 'mine's best, yours is crap' tack though :D

That whole coupe vs roadster debate had gone quiet a while. As has the Alpina vs M

Long and short of it is all the Zeds are good and there's something for everyone in the range. Horses for courses etc

I really love the coupes classic sports car profile but I'd imagine the sound of that straight six on full throttle with the top down is pretty awesome (especially in a tunnel)

It was always a coupe for me though, it'll hold it's price better and the rarity appealed.

Having said that, roadsters are great for getting between hair appointments ;-)

Just natural progression, i had z3m r and secretly always wanted a coupe as felt sort of second best, that coupled with the hair dresser jokes, the shite recent summers and the fact that the coupes are just so unique, i never ever miss the soft top either , no more sunburn on my very thinning head ; you will not regret the change up. :fuelfire:

Woots, the Coupe will one day suffer the same fate as the Datsun 280z, whereas convertibles are like diamonds... forever :fuelfire:i
