Hey guys! Hope it's ok to post a video here. I replaced my terribly worn steering wheel with a new(ish) one and decided it would be fun to make a video about the replacement process.

Hope you enjoy!

Wow, your old wheel was bad, nice video though and I'm sure it will help someone
I don't like playing with air bags, seen a few go off and they are bloody scary :)

Thanks! And yes it was terrible. Not sure the previous owner ever conditioned it. It flaked off on my hand every time I drove it.

great vid, thanks.
Is it possible to swap in a multifunction wheel for a non-multifunction one? is the wiring there to accomodate?
and i dont know about leaning back for fear of the bag going off when u cranked it - ida been on the other side of the car! lol

That's a good question about the multi-function wheel. The wiring harness was attached to the wheel itself and just plugs into the column so maybe?

Hopefully someone who knows will chime in. :)

Great Vid - much better then the shaky 'single handed' vid I watched when I swapped my wheel last year
The facelift Zed (2006 - 08) is slightly different when aligning the wheel - there's a marker on the teeth of the wheel that you need to aline with a notch on the steering column. There's also a brown wire to connect using a torx multi-tool.
